Beverly Ann Wilets (Bev) of San Jose, California, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born on January 24, 1938, in Portland, Oregon, to Joseph and Helen Ginsberg.
Beverly's life was rooted in love, family, and deep devotion to the people around her. She was the cherished mother of Rebecca Russell of Santa Clara, CA, and Barbara Wilets Bandanza of San Jose, CA, and mother-in-law to Chris Bandanza. Bev took immense pride in her family and delighted in watching it grow across generations.
She was a beloved grandmother to Laine Russel of Daly City, CA; Logan Russel of Santa Monica, CA; Gabriella Bandanza and Nick Bandanza of San Jose, CA; and Ashley Agrillo and Matt Agrillo of Los Gatos, CA. She also treasured her great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Kaylin Agrillo of Los Gatos, CA.
Bev is survived as well by her sister Lora Ginsberg, and by her nieces Dina Fitch and Debbie Kehrberg, all of whom held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Helen Ginsberg, her sister Abby Feinberg, and her aunt Jeannette Hodes.
Beverly attended Washington High School and later San Francisco City College, embracing education as a lifelong foundation. She found great purpose and joy in her work as a marriage officiant, guiding couples into new chapters of their lives with warmth, dignity, and grace.
Outside of her professional life, Bev enjoyed simple and meaningful pleasures: long walks, a good book, spirited games of Rummikub, and-above all-watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren perform in theatre productions and excel in sports. Her presence at these events was steadfast and full of pride.
Funeral and burial services for Beverly will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Home of Peace Cemetery, located at 1299 El Camino Real, Colma, CA 94014. Services are entrusted to Sinai Memorial Chapel in San Francisco, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cantor's Discretionary Fund at Congregation Shir Hadash,
20 Cherry Blossom Way, Los Gatos, CA 95032, in honor of Beverly's memory.
Beverly will be remembered for her kindness, her vibrant spirit, and her profound love of family. Her legacy lives on in all who knew and loved her.
