Of San Francisco, left us comfortably and peacefully in her own home on October 13th, 2015. Millie was 102 years old. Born Mildred Trobowitz in Brooklyn New York, on November 30, 1912, Millie grew up in New York and moved to San Francisco in 1938. She met the love of her life, Sam Kushman in 1939. They dated at the World's Fair on Treasure Island and married on July 4, 1940. Millie enjoyed a wonderful and happy life with Sam for 63 years. She spent many of those years making a home for Sam and with him, raising their children. She loved to read, cook, crochet, laugh and sing. When Sam retired, they enjoyed many trips, tours and cruises together.
Millie leaves behind her loving children, Doris Spitzig and her husband William Spitzig, and Steven Kushman and his wife Janice Seale-Kushman. There are many family members and friends who love Millie and will miss her dearly. You will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you Millie dear.
Services will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 10:00 am at SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1501 Divisadero Street at Geary Blvd., S.F. Interment to follow services at Eternal Home Cemetery, Colma.
