Dale Marie Katz (née Greenberg), 68, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on June 12, 2016. Born January 4, 1948 to Melvin and Beth Greenberg, she was a lifelong San Franciscan.
She was a loving sister of Allen (Diane) and twin brother David (Gail), devoted wife to Charles Katz for 45 years, dear mother to Stacie (Josh Black) and Debra Keith (Scott), grandmother to Hailey Keith, and loyal aunt to many nieces and nephews.
In addition to caring for her family and home, she kept busy with committees, volunteering her time and ideas to help those around her. A George Washington High School graduate, she was voted "Most Spirited" in her fall 1965 graduating class. She kept the Eagle Pride throughout her life and worked with special needs students at Washington's inclusion program for over 20 years. She was a talented artist who enjoyed visits to the museums, watching the Giants and 49ers, and entertaining family and friends.
She was an active member of Congregation Sherith Israel, San Francisco, for over 45 years.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 17, 2016, at 12:30pm, at Hills of Eternity, Colma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hamotzi at Sherith Israel.
