B. Jeffrey Katz
August 4, 1943 - November 11, 2018
Jeff, resident of Saratoga and Aptos CA, age 75, died peacefully on November 11, 2018, at his home with his wife Rudi at his side. He bravely fought a battle with prostate cancer for 23 years. Jeff was a long-time resident of Silicon Valley and leader, thinker, and inspirer in the computer and semiconductor industry.
He was proud of his accomplishments at Intel and Atmel where he served as senior marketing executive for 17 years. He was active in his community and volunteered at the Computer History Museum, Montalvo Arts Center and the Tech Museum of Innovation to name a few. He enjoyed traveling, skiing, biking, hiking, theatre, and hanging out with his grandchildren.
He is survived by Rudi Katz his devoted wife of 52 years of marriage, his two daughters and their husbands Hilary and Joe Seitz and Jessica and Hugh Plitt, his five grandchildren Taylor, Abbigale, Elianna, Gabriel, Jacob and his two sisters Judi Koffman and Deena Barrett.
Services will be graveside at Oak Hill Memorial Park, in the Beth David Memorial Garden, at 11:00 am on Tuesday November 13, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Computer History Museum or Congregation Beth David in Saratoga, CA.
