Jacob Jack Kertzman
November 3, 1923 - September 12, 2015
Jack was born and raised in New York City, served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II and received his BS and MS in Chemistry from New York University. He was inspired to become a chemist when he saw the DuPont exhibit on nylon during a trip to the World's Fair in 1939 and went on to be awarded numerous patents both in the U.S. and abroad and established a manufacturing business in 1972 which continues to thrive today.
He was an amazing and dedicated husband to Ethel and devoted father and grandfather. His humor, compassion and intelligence touched many and he will be greatly missed.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, Sept.18 at 10:45 A.M. at the Chapel of Home of Peace Cemetery, 1299 El Camino Real, Colma.
