Gertrude Etta Vederoff died peacefully in her home in San Francisco on Nov. 16, 2015; she was 101 years old. Although born in Sacramento, she lived 100 years in San Francisco and rightly so considered herself a native. She was the last of nine children born to Joseph and Lena Glickman.
Gertrude is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Abbe Vederoff. Although they had no children, they had many nieces and nephews plus were aunt and uncle to many of their neighborhood's children. She will be deeply missed by all.
