Steven Frankel Wolfe died on November 16, 2017 with his family holding his hands. Steven was born in Bronx, New York and lived there until going to school at the University of Wisconsin <http://www.legacy.com/memorial-sites/university-of-wisconsin/?personid=187275817&affiliateID=3811> in Madison where he received his Medical Degree and Cardio Vascular Surgery Certification. In 1974, he moved to Contra Costa establishing, with his partners, the first heart surgery program at Mount Diablo/John Muir Hospitals, where he practiced for thirty years. He served as chairman of multiple hospital committees. He was on many boards including the Heart Association, California Symphony, Reutlinger Community and was President of Concord Rotary. One of his proudest accomplishments was creating Concord RotaCare for the uninsured. He was a dignified, humble, generous, gracious, loving, intelligent, curious, devoted, and positive man who loved his family and friends unconditionally. He was always a little boy at heart and his toys gave him great pleasure. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; his beloved children, Geoffrey (Misha), and Bradley (Dalit); adored grandchildren, Mila, Liv, Avigail and Benzi; niece, Tricia; and his sister, Nessa. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Sunday, November 19 at Temple Isaiah, Lafayette.
