Manya Bertram, born July 21, 1917 in Denver Colorado, died Nov. 21st, 2015 in Oakland, CA. She led a life full of giving to family, friends and colleagues. Raised in Pueblo CO by her Mother Rivka (Feiner,) Father Samuel Bornstein, and with her brother David and sister Teresa Rosalie, the family moved to Los Angeles in 1930, where she worked as a Legal Secretary followed by Law School, graduating magna cum laude in 1962 to practice with Jack D. Most and Richard F.C. Hayden. Honored by Iota Tau Tau, the International Federation of Women Lawyers, and active in the White House Conference on Aging and the Southern California Conference on Community Relations, she also mentored many young women to become attorneys. Married for 73 years to Barry B. Bertram, she leaves a close family including a sister Terry Keith (Maxwell); son Neal Bertram (Ann), grandson Seth Bertram; daughter Carel Bertram (Fred Donner), granddaughters Alanya Snyder (Michael Jones) and Rumeli Snyder (Cyrus Comiskey) and great-grandsons Selim and Naveed Jones and Sandriz Comiskey. She also leaves a multitude of friends who, like her family, are touched forever by her generous spirit. As her Belmont High School Year book said of her, "Nothing can cover her high fame but heaven."

A memorial service is being planned for early February.
