Jacqueline F. Cooper
August 26, 1936 - April 21, 2016
Native San Franciscan, born and raised in the Richmond District, Jacqueline (Jackie) F. Cooper passed away in her home on August 21. Jackie was a graduate of Washington High and San Francisco State University, where she obtained her teaching credential. She was a teacher for the San Francisco Unified School District for 40 years, retiring in 1996 from George Peabody School with distinction. Jackie was a member of the California Upsilon Chapter of the teacher's sorority Alpha Delta Kappa.
In her retirement she spent many hours volunteering at the Palace of the Legion of Honor and De Young Museums. She loved to travel and go on cruises with Barbara, play bridge, take long walks, watch the S.F. Giants, spend time with her wonderful group of friends, and never met a dog she did not like. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Richard F. and Ella A. Cooper and is survived by her cousins Leone and Randy Silberman and Lynne Silberman Warner, and long time friend Barbara Webber.
