Audrey L. Leidenfrost - 4/18/1935 - 5/10/2016 a resident of Concord, CA passed peacefully in her sleep.

Audrey was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in upstate NY until 1975 when she became of resident of Las Vegas, NV. She worked as an accountant for some of the hotels, and toward her retirement became a reservations agent for American Airlines.

After retiring she moved to Concord to be nearer to her 3 children. Alex Chayut of Concord, Jani Chayut of Concord, and Karen Hagan of Tucson, AZ. She also has 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren , and 3 nieces whom she loved like her own. Her sister, Bea Levinson pre-deceased her in 2015.

She was an artist in all mediums; crafting, painting, knitting and cooking. She enjoyed it all. She was a sucker for great Chinese food, good dessert and ice cream. We remember 30 minute drives to PA in the dead of winter to find the nearest open ice cream stand. In fact, (though we didn't know it at the time), it was with great pleasure the last meal which we fed mom: 3 scoops of ice cream. In her final days it was Jack-in-the-Box eggrolls, Starbucks Mocha Latte's and ice cream that she craved.

With time, mom's political views changed. She had many opinions, as do we all, but Audrey's major wish before she passed was to make sure "that idiot Trump" did not get elected. Make her wish come true and vote for anyone else of your choosing. We also ask that you wear a swatch of pink in her memory. She would love that.

Audrey will be interred at Gan Shalom Cemetery on Friday 13th at 2 pm. The address is 1100 Bear Creek Road, Briones CA (between Lafayette and Martinez). (925.228.3636). The family would like to acknowledge the generosity of Sinai Memorial Chapel, and Gan Shalom for providing their services so my mom could be laid to rest as she hoped. We ask in lieu of flowers that you consider donating to their organization in her name.
