On May 29, 2016, Mikelle, Ty, and Luke lost their beloved YaYa. Dina and Scott lost their irreplaceable Mom. Mickey lost the love of his life of 48 years. Paula Jane Krinsky, born September 7, 1945, to Isidor and Frances Skolnik in Brooklyn, New York, passed away.
At the age of 11, her family moved to Cranston, Rhode Island, where she was in the first graduating class of Cranston West High School in 1963. She then went to The Ohio State University, and eventually graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1967.
She started dating Mickey at summer camp in 1965, and they later got married on September 2, 1967. Paula taught Physical Education at the Junior High School level for three years. After the birth of their daughter, Dina, in 1971, she became a full time mother and domestic engineer. Their son, Scott, was born in 1973 in California, where the family continued to live.
Paula, or YaYa, as she was called by all, was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, Mikelle, Ty, and Luke. She was truly a sports fanatic, both as a participant and spectator, supporting all Bay Area teams.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dick. Please make any donations to your favorite charity in her name.
